Strange one this. My optical drive just stopped working in OSX wouldnt even eject. However when restarted in OS9 evrything works fine! Pulling my hair out any suggestions?

Hello,
It sounds like a problem with OS X. Try rebooting in OS X and seeing if it works now.
If not, first go to the System Profiler, and make sure that the OS sees the Optical Drive.
If it does, go to the Disk Utility and do a scan of the disk to ensure it is healthy. Then do a repair permissions to ensure that the filesystem -- which your CD-ROM is a part of -- has the proper permissions.
