I am trying to install BOOST software. The first thing I need to do is do a BJAM build. I get losts of errors on an OSX 3.9 system. I am using the code suppllied by tjhe BOOST web site. I do not know much about BJAM but I would think the downloaded software would work. I get erros of the first line of the build.sh file. ANY help will be helpfull

Oh, THAT helps a lot. Post the error messages!
And if you're too lazy to build Bjam, just download a pre-built executable (your system would be Mac OS X PPC):

The error is an syntax error - doesnot like echo_run()

OK, when it fails, copy and paste the errors here. Saying something like "it doesn't like echo_run()" will not help. And like I said before, if you're lazy, just download a prebuilt executable.
