We have a Dell PowerEdge running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 w/Exchange. It is about 5 months old and we've never had an issue with it, to date.

This morning, it restarted itself. When it restarted, there were no error messages on the screen or anything and it booted normally.

The event log says this:

The process Explorer.EXE has initiated the restart of computer COMPUTERNAME on behalf of user DOMAIN\Administrator for the following reason: Hardware: Maintenance (Unplanned)
Reason Code: 0x4010001
Shutdown Type: restart
Comment:

I googled the reason code and did not get any results. Nobody was around the server at the time. How can I tell why explorer.exe forced a restart?

Thanks!
