I need to start safemode with networking, but it freezes as it loads the last of the drivers... If it's related, I need safemode with networking so I can install Anti-malware Bytes and update it. I am looking for a manual update I could use in normal safemode as I type.

In regular try changing the name of the malwarebytes exe that you downloaded to say biteme.exe ,try installing it !
