Hi everyone I wasnt sure where to put this, but I was hoping someone could help with this problem.

Everytime I start my computer everything is fine up till the login screen. Once I click on my name to login I get an error saying explorer.exe - Application error The application failed to initialize propery (0xc0000022). Click ok to terminate the application and once I click ok I just get a black screen nothing else.

I am however able to open task manager and the search for applications to open, thats how I opened internet explorer and downloaded hijackthis. I have tried to run explorer from task manager and tried to open windows updates and add/remove programs but I receive the same error. I have also scanned and removed malware and spyware etc.. I used spybot search and destroy and also malware bytes and did a virus scan with kaspersky.

Below I have the hijackthis report in hopes that someone can help me solve this problem.

Hi,
I am not very good with these logs but I can see several problems, someone like crunchie will assist you with cleaning your machine.
Did you do a "House Call" from Trend or other online virus check? While your virus checker is good, all antivirus programs miss some viruses. If not, run one, it could help get rid of viruses still in your machine.

I did use another antivirus program called AVG, but i never tried a "House Call" from Trend. I will look them up and try scanning again. Thanks for the quick reply. :)

I will also keep checking back to see if anyone was able to help with the hijackthis log.

Hi everyone I wasnt sure where to put this, but I was hoping someone could help with this problem.

I suppose you didn't see this at the top of this forum?
