Hi everyone, am looking for an unattended FTP (client) software, free by preference, which can be scheduled to download files at some defined intervals, and which works quietly, whereby no prompts to replace existing files etc and as much as possible, hidden from taskbar. Anyone can suggest a few such apps?

Not sure about the scheduling. Will look into it. I personally use CoreFTP Lite
You can set all the features to what you want by default. Like overwrite if newer all...
