Sorry this is kind of long.

I am trying to get my notebook (a DELL C610 Latitude) to connect to the internet via a WBR-1310 D-Link wireless router. I also have a Dell mini tower optiplex gxa 333Mhz P2 wired into LAN1. Both PC's are running win2kproSP4 (legal versions). I used the setup CD that came with the router and the optiplex has a connection to the internet. The notebook with a Linksys WPC54G adapter does not connect. The Linksys app indicates a connection between the notebook and the router but when I do a ping of the routers ipaddress there is no response. I have turned the encryption off but still no success. As a side note, my wife has the same notebook except she has XP-pro and she can connect with this adapter. Now the Linksys site says that this particular adapter is not compatible with Win95 or NT. Everytime I power the notebook up I see the "Powered by NT" label. Does this mean that This adapter is no good for my notebook? Or is there something else I need to do?
