But, i heard on the news that a county of England avoided the new smoking ban! they did it by not appearing to the smoking ban document signing (where all of the county councils sign the law document or summit) so they can still smoke in work places and pubs/clubs for 10 more days. I feel sorry for the people who live there that can't stand smoke.
Minor problem, it still occurs when i reply using 'quick reply'. I refreshed during the posting and it posted it instantly after the refresh the "posting please wait" was still going on.

This is a laptop i take it? If so, then check the monitor connections weren't pulled out / dislodged when you put in the new CD/DVD drive. Also, is this CD/DVD drive compatible with your laptop? Some laptops are quite fussy with which hardware components they can use.

Totally different. Fireplace smoke burns coal usually and therefore CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) is the bi-product at the end, along with soot, which is just a plain annoying. While Cigarette smoke is full of CO (Carbon Monoxide) which is more potent and deadly than CO2. Chemistry A @ GCSE, it serves me well! :P

Good point, it must therefore not be evenly distributed along the cigarette.
See if you can restore it back further (when it was normal). Run an anti-virus scan to make sure no malicious things have entered ur computer. Otherwise, try using 'Run' feature from the Start menu, to double check that it works.
Try the 'save password' tick box if there is one. I have mine logged in automatically when i go onto it. A good thing to do is to bookmark the 'control panel' page of your user account, then you don't have to keep logging in all of the time.
I know, why don't we run these tech people, all they use is a handbook, we have a brain :D Everyone on here could easily be a better 'tech guy' than the one's PC World have :)
Well if you smoke enough cigarettes at once, you can die due to an overdoes of nicotine. But only an idiot would try that. Also why did they start to put nicotine in them? Yes i do know it is an addictive agent, but why? Wasn't smoking tobacco in pipes good enough for people?
Or another answer, re-boot. An answer i once got was to reformat my entire hard-drive! I was like "Hell no am i going to do that! , That is a final resort!". I of course fixed the problem myself :P
Well, in a study following the UK's recent smoking ban, a pub used to have the smoke in it equivalent to 60 cigarettes smoke. Now it is down to 0 due to the ban, which i think is a good idea.
Can i take bennet as giving up? I the one always chasing him, he has no interest in this. I better than him according to joshSCH, because he has played us both, he destroyed bennet, and only defeated me :P
lol major lol, PC World rejected you :P Well you are inexperienced professionally in this field, you have no previous work in this field, so they only had your word for being tech literate. If they take everyone's word for it, i could get a job there :P , i wouldn't anyway, but you get the point.

Well if let's say a group of people (lets say 5) were standing in front of a shop door smoking, and you really wanted to go into this shop, but you would have to pass through a wall of toxic smoke. Would you go through? In the case of asthmatics, they would have to pass by that shop because they can't go into it through the cloud of toxic smoke created by some inconsiderate people. BUT, obviously some smokers are considerate and move out of the way. ALSO could not cigarette providers cut out all of the toxins from the cigarettes, making them out of just nicotine (very small amounts) and paper? Thus no toxic cloud would be produced.
Anyone use Audacity here? It's a fab little program that allows you to change the length of the songs ans stuff. I often get the problem where the last track on an album has like 1 minute of silence after it, but when i play it on a CD-Player it ignores it. So i find it really useful.
