I tried , couple of times . Even I used 14 days back point - it didnt work .
After restart it says its unsuccessful .
On other occassions when tried to install drivers after restart I could see
dreadfull message :
win32 host proccess need to close... DAP need to close it..

Hi I am using MB Asus A7N8X-E deluxe , Athlon 2400+XP with Windows XP-pro and have this problem :

From couple of days started problem with my audio that I could hear the sounds of report and log in Windows and when I log out , but I can't play anithing because it doesn't recognise my audio and sound options are grey in Control menu .
Couple of times , reinstaled driver - just audio 4.16.420..? and it was working till the Restart .
After that the same story .Couple of time Uninstalled the Audio and after Reboot I installed drivers when was looking for new hardware .

I have stopped AV-program , even Comodo-firewall . I have administr. account on XP-pro .
At the end I uninstall the whole NVIDIA driver and after that , now cant install at all NVIDIA-ethernet driver , even before reboot .

Just before all this happend I had a problem starting - It show me something like problem with BIOS RAM .
Just in case I reinstalled BIOS 1013 ; Could be the problem with RAM (not BIOS ) or low battery ..?

Hi , I am new with this topic thats why don't be scared if I asked some very strange question ;-)

I have scanner with ScanSoft OmniPage SE and MP Navigator .
I would like to scanned some books and transfer them to pdf format : saving pictures in this way , but for some reason it make the whole pages as pictures in pdf format which is quite big as a size at least .

Any idea where to find Tutorial explaining like how to save them without loosing detailes .

I made a lot of different windows security mostly patches besides SP2
and in some moment maybe after I install .Net Microsoft Framework 1.1
SDK which showed me some errors but I think was installed at the end.

The Problem is that from couple of days I dont have any new records in event viewer ?

Also at the start is going Checking of the windows files and ask me to put Instal CD to check..I could stop it..but why is that...?

I am with Asus A7N8X-E deluxw MB and I thought I have got in Bios the option to stop restart , but it was

F8 just gives me the choice of Safe mode +/- Netw..and so
I tried already but it stops and restarts after asking me about a345.sys it doesnt matter if I stop it or leave it to load ( this drivers ).

In recovery console : CHKDSK has only /p and /r
I tried them but just gives me that there is 1 or more errors
I tried CHKDSK /r after that and slowly it finished but didnt show anything more ..

Could be the Grub from Linux that stop it starting properly ?
( I have heard before it is easy to use it if you have Wind before Linux , butmaybe there is a problem after I am semi-installing Win on top ..? )

Hi , I had some problems with Windows and decided to make repair using my installation disc with SP1 ( hum, hum )

( I have a Linux ( Ubuntu ) partition on the second HD and using grub to choose which OS to start )

Using installation disc with XP-pro SP1, I made repair installation during which had couple of times problems with finding couple of files , and when restarted and choose this Wind from the GRUB menu it started installation of windows ...39 minutes..and so-on but at the end it just restarted and every next time when I try to start this windows installation it just restarts straight after starting to loading it . i tried even with Safe Mode the same ..

I could get into repair with console in C: dir but I dont know which file is corrupt .

I have made virus scanning using AVK two days but found just 1-2 adware ( till that time using other Anti-Virus ).

Tried couple of times to do again repair ..the same and very often problem with foundng some file s...

I am using Ubuntu for internet now .

i ahve another the same installation of this wind on 1 my old disc from before 9-10 months , could I transfer

the files from there ...I still could see my dirs and files in this Corrupted win installation ...

Yes, there is a light on monitor , but quickly turns off and shows me = Safe mode ... or something similar. I checked almost everything .. i remember knocking speaker on the case from inside , with screw , but not very hard..and everything is looking allright.

By the way - on the front only one of the LEDs has a light- this for a HD and is RED, another one..I am not sure what is it for...is off. I think before was green when everything is working, I could see sign like bulb..or cimilar.????

I just recieved Corsair 512MB 3200 PE and 2x256 Crucial 3200 , allready have
tried with changing RAM and and another graphic card ..nope

About mouse and keyboard...I will see, but I dont think have done mistake..

I tried with disconnecting allmost everything like HD, CDRW , Sound card , modem, graphic card , RAM to see - could I hear anything...No..just FANs
I foun them like ...turning louder this morning...after another try.. :o

I don't know evev is CPU allright or to go straight for a 939-CLI MB with some
6800 PCI-X CLI ....or if CPU is still working for a some steady and good MB with socketA ( my CPU is Athlon 2400+ )

I could see there is a power in MB - green light on LED inside...which exactly for this reason -to show there is a power. I could see that front LED which is for HD is going RED , but I am not absolutely sure that I could hear HD spinning..maybe YES, but not sure...definitely FANs are working....;-(

I have tried with secondary IDE channel and only other drive which its obviusly doesn't have full windows installation to boot from it..but at least I want to see if I could get to the BIOS ..eeerr or anything on the monitor...

Seriously considering to buy another MB.. even wondering which one....
A7N8X-deluxe..? I hope there is not a big chance that CPU have gone too..?

I have the same motherboard and have had trouble when i put two hard drives on the same IDE cable. Eventually I had to give up and use two cables; plugging one into the primary IDE port and the other into the Secondary IDE port. If you dont mind the extra cable, this allows you to have a primary and secondary master w/ no slaves.

I have left even only one HD at the moment and still dont want to
work at all ...could I damaged my MB , because I can't hear even beep..?

Maybe I should look for a new mb..?

I have my windows installed on WD and made my
new HD as a primary partition and used it as a
slave drive for a couple of days.Decided to try
it with Maxtor as a master and windows to start from there...(looking for faster start and work) WD as a slave.
Bios recognised the HD properly - I have set
up jumpers properly , but when loading windows said something like TRND is missing.. I already
thought that there is need maybe to install win
from installation disc to the new HD but thought this could maybe primary partition will be the same ...obviously it's not ...ha-ha ;-(

Computer was restarting .. going to the same thing , I couldn't turn off , on the next restart I change BIOS with
the old settings of WD-master and Maxtor as a
slave drive,turn the elctr off and after a
minute turn it on, but !!! First I didnt saw
front LED for a HD to goes on. After I push the power button it has gone red and there was
no CDRW or HD or A: any sign of going to work.
