@s_sridhar: You only need a supercomputer for chess if someone is stupid enough to even try and calculate every possible move(might as well call that infinite). Chess is a territorial game that just needs a basic AI system for a Human vs. Computer scenario; that and you only need to look-ahead and calculate "likely" possible moves that would be played not an infinite number.

eh... I just got rid of a 2.4K/B modem, still have some 56Ks, so no thanks.

Find process, get handle, then send it the correct messages.

MosaicFuneral 812 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

Something like Natural Frequency or Resonance?
Look up Alvin Luciers works that dealt with that.

MosaicFuneral 812 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

C++ doesn't have any "handling" or support for images, just generic files. You have to implement your own method of processing images or get an SDK to do it.

MosaicFuneral 812 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

You handle them the way you would normally handle a file, you act upon the data depending on what the file format specifies.

Is this a BMP, JPEG, GIF, or?

I use to have near a pot a day, plus teas, for a time. Could have been the cause to the blepharspasms I had, or it was post-delerium.... idk

MosaicFuneral 812 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

We need a "Sage" feature that allows you to post something without having it bumped to the top.
So there would be the standard view which doesn't have sage post bumped to the top, and a full chronological view that includes all post in the standard timeline order, even if it's a sage post.

Why is this needed? Because I just simply say it is.

What sort of output do you get, did you follow the values with a debugger or by printing them to the screen(I'm to lazy to follow/fully read your code)?

This reminds me of some fourteen-year old girls that where walking behind me, the other day, talking about how they broke-up and felt obligations to be in relationships. I was on the verge of laughing till I puked, because I couldn't find reason in their adolescent psychobabble logic.
Why do people feel the need to be in a relationship, most of them seem pointless?

Lets say you have the value ten, and in binary that is represented as "00001010." Mask(AND operator) all the bits before the first one and the truth is now false, place a zero to the array; shift the original value right once and mask again, this time the truth is true, add an "1"; repeat.

Well the array would look like "01010000" if you did that, there's an easy fix or just reverse it. If that's to much for you, can you use C++'s bitset class container?

MosaicFuneral 812 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

uhmmm... Why don't you just loop through all the bits in the value shifting it over, then checking it with a logic AND(mask 1). Add "1" to it if it's true, else "0".
Simple?

MosaicFuneral 812 Nearly a Posting Virtuoso

In GCC/MinGW when I map a function to a specific section can I expect the sections Characteristics bits 5, 9 and 30(IMAGE_SCN_CNT_CODE | IMAGE_SCN_MEM_EXECUTE | IMAGE_SCN_MEM_READ) to be set or always set? What about for an all variable mapped section?
I just wanted to know if I could confirm a section by checking the DWORD Characteristics along with the name. I could check with a hex-editor, but not sure if there was an official statement on it, in case the results were to suddenly differ with a new version of the compiler(or similar case).
