Sounds like either a video card problem or a corrupted hard drive. Are you able to boot into safe mode? Try tapping the F8 key repeatedly, then choose safe mode. Run chkdsk from a commmand prompt from there if you can. You could try booting from a cd also. If …

I know this sounds silly, but make sure Work Offline is unchecked in your browser. This happened to me once, had everything set up right, coudldn't figure out why my browser wouldn't work, could ping out, and resolve dns, but no browsing. lol.

Sounds like a registry error. Try running a scan with [url]http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm[/url] a registry cleaner. Just make sure you make a back up. Some viruses can wreak havoc on your registry, even after removal the registry might still need to be repaired.
