its not easy enough to just do it manually? if i was making an application to do this i would use autohotkey or autoit to just basically do a macro...

what version of linux are you running? Most distro's run a window manager and you can usually download themes for it...

linux from scratch is neat... you could always check out freedos too and learn from its sourcecode.
mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdc /media/cdrom0/
thats an example of mounting a cd manually.
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/usbflash
thats an example of mounting a flashdrive... both examples could be silghtly different depending on your system and what kind of filesystem exist on the flashdrive.

you can change it with ifconfig but when you reboot you'll loose the config. A real easy way with fedora is to run the setup utility as root and change your default network config.

if you install vlc you can pretty much watch anything but to use other medial players you have to install the restricted extras

it sounds like you might have a widescreen laptop... which 1024x768 wouldnt really fit exactly right... yeah i just looked at your screenshots its because of the lcd being widescreen.

if it installed and works then you do have a 64bit machine... it wouldnt work at all if you didnt... you cant really just switch... you'll need to reinstall the architecture you want.

something i used to run was cooperative linux it actually installs sidebyside with windows its pretty neat and not a virtual machine http://www.colinux.org/ otherwise your best bet is running cygwin to get some unix-type functionality in windows.

first you need to make a backup of the sql database then import the database on your new server then move your files to the new server and then reconnect the config file to the new database if you changed anything.
