How about redhat linux? I like it the most. And btw, for my hosting server, it is CentOS which i use.

I think VB 6 control creation edition is free and if you want to learn vb, that should be enough.

It is illegal to share Windows related serials. Try contacting your Windows vendor for the issue.

Try running Turbo C Compiler using Compatibility mode in Window and See if it helps.

Try booting from a clean bootable CD. mount your ntfs volumes. Run an antivirus scan and get rid of the virus. Or, backup your important data and clean reinstall your OS. always use antivirus updates and be virus free.
