OMG Office 97 works on Vista.. brilliant Microsoft. Outlook wont work. Has problems. Same problem here when I had tested. I upgraded to 2003.

Do something.. get an application like Acronis Partition Recovery. Plugin the drive into your PC directly, not through USB and try to recover it. I had a same problem with my external drive and I did that and it worked. Please reply if successful or not. Cheers, sarkar

First of all after reading your post it comes to mind that why the hell are you installing XP drivers on Vista?? The sound card onboard is Soundmax 4 XL Ac' 97 for which u'll easily get drivers for Vista since its the common onboard sound chips that are used …

Do something, take it to some experienced person and he'll do it. No need to take it to the care center or contact them, tell them its an emergency, go to them get it checked and get it back. I suggest the first option. Cheers, sarkar

I dont think USB hard drives are supported and detected in old BIOSes. If u can get try updating your BIOS for external USB HDD support or go check your BIOS for USB-HDD detection and see if it works. Cheers, sarkar
