I would suggest you try over in the web design forum.

The English language is suffering at the hands of the text message revolution I am very much afraid to say. It is a particular bugbear of mine, especially as the written word interests me so much on a personal and professional level.

Don't get me wrong, I am all for change. Despite having an interest in Middle English literature, believe me I would not want to be reading The Times like that every morning. However, there is something so lazy about 'txt talk' which really gets my goat. Yes, it has a place in mobile communication, as it did in online chat before SMS existed. No, there isn't a need to use it when the medium, be that online, print or whatever, is not restricted to 160 characters!

Heck, even employers are starting to notice the increase in the number of application forms filled out using this form of vile and lazy shorthand. Something has to be done, or I am afraid the English language as we know it will be lost forever.

Hehe, they don't let me near such things as keyboard lab reviews. Probably for the best as I'd break all the modern plastic multi-media feed your chicken and dance the fandango models in no time. My labs would be full of really solid, responsive, and distinctly old school keyboards that let you input data and nothing else. :)

The point being that the last time IntelliTXT was debated in an open forum, it ended up turning into a discussion on how to remove ads from DaniWeb altogether as well as becoming a rather cyclical argument of the 'I'm right you are wrong' variety as is often the case with such things that tend to polarize opinion.

So it's not that I, or anyone else, is against debate on this issue but rather don't want to this thread turning into another pointless argument over the subject to be honest.

Not least because the business decision has been taken at a management level, and that's where it has to remain for the long term benefit of DaniWeb. If things change, if the business model changes, if it becomes apparent that DaniWeb would be better off without IntelliTXT then the decision to remove it will also be taken at a management level and on pure business strategy grounds.

I would backup that data real fast, if I were you. That kind of noise from your HD usually spells only one thing, and it starts with T and ends in ROUBLE...
