Hello, I need advise on the software to use to write a mini program which can be used to monitor the CPU temperature of a computer. The program to be written will also need to control the fan speed whenever needed. Which among the following can be used to interact with such hardware: Visual Basic (I've got Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate and Express), Java, Delphi, or any other???

I meant to control the hardware, example to increase fan speed if temperature is above a specified value, and to decrease it if temperature is not high etc

The others you mention are programming language. I guess any language is possible, provided that u know the necessary libraries
