Jump to PostOne of them was abandoned because the person funding the project (a non-developer who hired a dev team to work on it) ran out of money. The other was shelved when their work got busier, I believe.

Unfortunately I, personally, do not know mobile development. Lots of people have started over the years to release a mobile app and none have completed it. We had two that got two-thirds done before being abandoned.
We have an API you can use at https://www.daniweb.com/connect/developers if you would like to try.

Why it was abandoned? Because of other projects, user became burnt-out, or else? Oh yes, Im willing to try.
