Any game software that could be used for educative purposes?

Hello, please would anybody know if there's any game software where I could include words and sentences? Although I'm still new in this area, I'm very interested in creating some games for teaching purposes.

Are you hand coding this? or relying on something else?

also tell us what kind of game, programming languages are you using, is it concole based or will it have interactive computer graphics?,etc.

Thanks for your replies. Not encoding anything, indeed -this appeared as I published my message (?). My plan is working with interactive computer graphics. I'd create a couple of attractive backgrounds with some soft movement -hope I can. The students would need to shut for example, so the slices with written lines of a paragraph appear. Once they have the whole text, they'd have to move the slices and put them in order within a time limit. That's the idea.
