Hello everyone! My name is Zachary Detlefs, and I am the Director of Development at Game Warriors! We are a coding and art academy as well as a team that offers development work to anyone in need. At the moment, finding contract work has been a struggle. With the the competition in websites like Upwork, finding contracts can be tough. I was wondering if anyone has experience finding contracts in game development? Are there any Upwork competitors you find work better for securing contracts?

You can try TopTal. That’s the only other one I know of.

Thank you so much! I've looked into TopTal a small amount. I do represent a team of developers and artists, so I liked that Upwork allows for multiple people to be associated with an "agency" account. Does TopTal offer soemthing similar?

Not that I am aware of, but my only (limited) experience has been as someone looking to hire, not the other side.

I have found that TopTal consistently has provided me with developers of a higher caliber than Upwork has. However, Upwork is always less expensive for me, which is why I prefer it.

If you are in the top of your field, I’m sure you can make more money with TopTal than with Upwork. However, I feel as if the whole agency thing goes against TopTal’s business model because they aren’t able to completely evaluate the quality and expertise of every member of the agency’s team.
