I have been working in GIS development for around 10 months now. I have been doing all the development in Javascript. I now want to build some GIS based vb.net projects! Can you suggest me of some ideas for a project?

Have a look at the following google SEARCH.

I would suggest you build an app making use of Google Maps and tracking scenarios. It seems to be the most popular.:)
