Textbox/Richtextbox Line count.

I like to know how to add the no at the each new line before starting.
I know how to count total lines. but I am lacking some knowledge on how I can Add new line number before New line and also the selected line get background colour different then all other line

So that The number of line can be counted as well as the mistake in which line can be counted easly by user...

Yer, i want this thing in my project...
but this is the C# language.
While I need the Code for VB.net

I just open the project and see that they create the class for that Textbox.
In same way i want to create the Class for VB.Net
And tell me how to edit the Colour (where to place the colour code) using the Comment '
