Hi there, I have a compaq presario CQ43 laptop whoes HDD just crashed giving the blue screen error (system couldn't read drive at all). I replaced its original HDD (a 320GB Seagate SATA HDD) with a 250GB Hitachi SATA HDD. But when I tried to install WINXP OS, it still gives me the blue screen of death. I connected the 250GB HDD in my external (the HDD was read perfectly) and did a check disk on another laptop. Hi guys, I've been getting sporadic bsods without any identifiable cause, and would like to know if anyone could help me identify the problem. It used to hang sometimes while playing games, which I attributed to the games themselves, but recently bsods have been happening while the computer's idle. I Have a Packard Bell Imedia 2215. I have been running this with 2X1gb RAM for the past 2 years when all of a sudden I had the blue screen of death. Okay so I recently have no clue what's causing it but I can predict a BSOD and can prevent it sometimes. Everytime this has happened I have been gaming. The warning sign is I will start to hear the sound get distoreded and then it progressivily gets worst and worst, sometimes the framerate drops and things start locking up. I have a dell mini inspiron 1011 running windows xp OS. I have had this for roughly 11 months (has 30 days left on the warranty). I turned my computer on the other day only to be confronted with the black screen explaining that windows has encountered a problem....etc and gives me the safe mode options (safe mode, with networking, with command prompt), Last known good configuration or start windows normally. Hi, I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit edition. After booting up and logging in I sometimes get BSoD. then the system reboots and I can log in normally. It doesn't happen too often, but it does occur often enough for me to notice there's a problem. Windows asks to check for a solution to the problem after logging in, but never gives me a solution. Hey, so at my high school, they just got a lot of new windows 7 machines with 8GB of ram and Intel 2.6GHz quad core processors and 1TB hard drives, but they keep randomly crashing. A few of them, some kids hit the power cables and now they won't start up and can't fix it. One finally did. And one crashed 3 times, and after the 3rd wouldn't recognize the hard drive anymore. Hi, I have an XP machine and it boots up to just before the Password Screen into windows and displays the blue screen. Just a blue screen, nothing else, and the machine is completly unresponsive. I have tried to enter Windows in safe mode but again, it to just opens the safe mode screen, black with 4 safe mode words at each corner of the screen.
