Hi there, I have a compaq presario CQ43 laptop whoes HDD just crashed giving the blue screen error (system couldn't read drive at all). I replaced its original HDD (a 320GB Seagate SATA HDD) with a 250GB Hitachi SATA HDD. But when I tried to install WINXP OS, it still gives me the blue screen of death. I connected the 250GB HDD in my external (the HDD was read perfectly) and did a check disk on another laptop. I connected it back to the compaq laptop and tried to install but it still gave the same error. I haven't tried …

Hi guys, I've been getting sporadic bsods without any identifiable cause, and would like to know if anyone could help me identify the problem. It used to hang sometimes while playing games, which I attributed to the games themselves, but recently bsods have been happening while the computer's idle. I'm on a custom-built pc, which had a virus attack quite a few months ago which I resolved by doing a fresh install. I'm uploading the minidump logs with this thread - in the zip file "minidump"; the txt file "bsod" is a copy-paste of what i see in the minidump …

Hey guys I'm looking for some help to a recent problem. I've been playing League of Legends for about a month, but recently (first time it happend was on July 2nd) while playing, my computer will crash to Blue Screen randomly. If it's not crashing to Blue Screen, I'm getting a "Bug Splat" error and the game will crash. I don't know much about the error but I searched a bit and found that it traced back to something called Minidump? I have average knowledge about computers, but I have never heard of Minidump, what it's for or what it …

I Have a Packard Bell Imedia 2215. I have been running this with 2X1gb RAM for the past 2 years when all of a sudden I had the blue screen of death. I had a computer expert come out and told me that it had blown one of the RAM. He got the computer working again but only with 1gb as we had no replacement memory. Since then I have bought 2X2gb RAM to upgrade it, however, this is where I have lost it! If I put both 2gb sticks in it will not start (no BIOS beep). If I …

Okay so I recently have no clue what's causing it but I can predict a BSOD and can prevent it sometimes. Everytime this has happened I have been gaming. The warning sign is I will start to hear the sound get distoreded and then it progressivily gets worst and worst, sometimes the framerate drops and things start locking up. Everytime now when I catch this sound issue I quickly exit the game I am playing and try to restart my computer, I would like to point out that after exiting the game my windows sounds are also distored and my …

Hi guys, I've had this problem with my computer. Every time i play a game my whole system crashes and blue lines come down the screen, it happens about 10 - 20 minutes into the game. Thing is this happened about 6 months ago, one day when it crashed i couldn't even turn it on so i went out and bought a new Motherboard, installed it and still wouldn't turn on so it wasn't the motherboard. Then as i was playing around with the wires it turned on (I had no idea what i done) and the computer worked for …

I have a dell mini inspiron 1011 running windows xp OS. I have had this for roughly 11 months (has 30 days left on the warranty). I turned my computer on the other day only to be confronted with the black screen explaining that windows has encountered a problem....etc and gives me the safe mode options (safe mode, with networking, with command prompt), Last known good configuration or start windows normally. I have tried all of the above and the eventual outcome is always the Blue Screen. This gives the usual message and a code. 0x00....( I can get the …

Hi, I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit edition. After booting up and logging in I sometimes get BSoD. then the system reboots and I can log in normally. It doesn't happen too often, but it does occur often enough for me to notice there's a problem. Windows asks to check for a solution to the problem after logging in, but never gives me a solution. Any ideas on how to proceed and what to do. thanks in advance.

Hello everybody, I am currently having a problem with my Packard Bell computer that has XP Home Edition (SP2). I was starting live messenger when it could not connect and gave a windows error screen. Then I decided to restart the computer, but now I can't start it due to the fact it only shows the blue screen of death when I boot it. I tried booting the computer in safety mode and error-search mode, but the blue screen of death kept appearing when you see the black screen with the windows logo and loading bar. The following error is …

Hey, so at my high school, they just got a lot of new windows 7 machines with 8GB of ram and Intel 2.6GHz quad core processors and 1TB hard drives, but they keep randomly crashing. A few of them, some kids hit the power cables and now they won't start up and can't fix it. One finally did. And one crashed 3 times, and after the 3rd wouldn't recognize the hard drive anymore. They are Acers, and the computer instructor and I can't seem to find out exactly why or why they are doing this. We looked online and found …
