I am a fifteen year old trying to learn c++ to program a scientific calculator that is simpler to use. Would it be okay if I asked for advice on different problems I am having with the calculator and how to program certain things on it without providing a code? (I don't have a code, but I need help.) It is not a regular calculator, I was going to list the different things out to the users and show symbols to the user to use the calculator. My first question is what specific areas should I look into the most? …

The University of Central Florida is currently knee deep in $434,000 of federal tax money programming a video game for teenage girls which acclimates them to the pressures of sexual advances in social environments. Working with UCF’s Institute for Stimulation and Training, Dr. Anne Norris, statistician and methodologist for the College of Nursing’s Office of Research, hopes to implement her groundbreaking software into local middle schools as an aid in preventing teen pregnancies and encouraging abstinence amongst pubescent young adults. About a year ago, three girls fought charges of child pornography -- of themselves -- for refusing to attend 10-hour class on pornography and sexual violence after they were arrested for taking pictures of themselves en deshabille. Now, the district court not only barred the district attorney from initiating any criminal charges against the girls, but criticized the district attorney’s reliance on the girls’ presence in the photographs as a basis for the potential charges, noting that their presence did not prove they possessed or transmitted the photo, according to an article in the New York Times. However, the Third …

The issue of teens taking naked pictures of themselves with their cell phones and sending them to other teens has been an issue of increasing concern, with teens being slapped with child pornography charges, simply by virtue of the fact that the subject of the picture was under 18 -- even if the photographer took the picture him- or herself. However, now there's a case where the pornography charge may be justified: An 8th grade boy in Massachussets allegedly sold nude "sexts" of his 8th-grade (presumably, now, former) girlfriend to his classmates for $5 apiece, according to press reports. Teens who take revealing pictures of themselves to send to other teens are getting more than embarrassment: They're getting a criminal record as a sex offender. The problem of revealing teen pictures has been getting a great deal of attention lately, with a recent survey finding that 36 percent of teen females and 31 percent of teen males have posted or electronically sent nude or semi-nude pictures of themselves. But now, because both the senders and the recipients are underage, teens are starting to get slapped with child pornography charges -- charges that will, as the saying goes, be on …

Remember the teenagers getting charged with child pornography for taking revealing pictures of themselves with cell phones? They're fighting back. According to an article in the New York Times by Sean Hamill, 17 students -- 13 girls and 4 boys -- accepted a plea bargain requiring them to attend 10-hour class on pornography and sexual violence, and accept random drug testing. Only the students in the pictures -- not the people distributing them -- were threatened with legal action. But three girls, who refused to attend the class even after they were threatened with a charge of sexual abuse of …

You cannot have missed the story this week about how a picture of a naked girl on an album cover led to Wikipedia being blacklisted by the Internet Watch Foundation in the UK. That blacklisting, which in turn prevented people from being able to edit Wikipedia posts depending upon their ISP, was lifted after a global media protest about treating the virtual image differently to the real one. Being in possession of the original Scorpions album would be unlikely to lead to a prosecution, so how come the exact same image was being treated as 'potentially illegal' when found on …
