Conquering is one time while ruling is continuous ... thats why I said rule :).

We've all been there, just push your way through and things will start making sense eventually.

Why? Is it a communication issue where you literally can't understand your teacher? If not then try asking for clarification. Teachers get paid to help you understand things, if you don't understand then ask your instructor to explain it again. Repeat until enlightened.
