olk well im freakin pist off now i've been at this laptop now for months and the bastard child still doesn't read its original HDD, why is that i've opened it up and made sure everything was hooked up and it still says the same thing, do u guys think if i bought a new HDD it would work??? again coz it a fast LT, but it only has that gay problem messin it up, HELP PLZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!

please connect this HDD in some other laptop and see if it works in case it does then the IDE controller of your Laptop is out! you either need to replace it or try your luck by updating the drivers.
