Hi all....

Quality and heavy traffic from search engines to website is most important nowadays......but which is the search engine other than Google that brings more traffic to website? Is it Yahoo or Bing?

Short answer: outside Google the biggest practical source is Microsoft’s search ecosystem — Bing (and Yahoo, since Yahoo’s web results are generated by Bing). Google still dominates worldwide (about 89–90% of searches), while Bing is the largest non‑Google engine in most English‑language markets (a low single‑digit global share but higher on desktop and in the U.S.). Many posters here named Yahoo or Bing; that’s sensible. Because Yahoo’s front‑end is often “powered by Bing,” optimizing for Bing usually covers Yahoo too — register the site in Bing Webmaster Tools, submit a sitemap and monitor query/click data there. Also note ’s point: for some sites social networks and direct/referral channels can outperform any secondary search engine, so verify with your analytics rather than guessing. (news.microsoft.com)

If the site targets a specific country, local engines can beat Bing. Baidu dominates China, Yandex dominates Russia and Naver is a primary engine in Korea — for those markets use the local webmaster tools and follow localization and indexing rules instead of treating them like “Google SEO.” Regional differences make a big practical impact on traffic. (gs.statcounter.com)

Quick practical checklist: 1) Check Reports → Acquisition → Traffic acquisition in GA4 (search by session source/medium to see which search engines actually send traffic). 2) If Bing/Yahoo matter, verify and submit sitemaps in Bing Webmaster Tools and use URL submission/IndexNow where available. 3) For China/Russia/Korea register with Baidu/Yandex/Naver webmaster consoles and localize content. 4) Track social and emerging AI‑assistant referrers as a separate channel — act on what your data shows, not on assumptions. Notes: market shares change over time and by device/region, so always check your own analytics first and then prioritize the engines that already send you traffic.

Hi,
Yahoo or bring both are useful to bring traffic for our site but serp's of target keywords should be very good. We always try to improve our site serp's on every search engines to get good traffic.

I'm getting better traffic from Social Networking sites than other search engines. You better try social networking sites too.

It all depends on the type of audience you are trying to target. With some o fhte wbesites I manage their analytics, I was surprise to see that was the second top referrer.

you can expect more traffic from yahoo and Bing search engines other than Google this two search engines generate traffic to your website..

Hi, there!

Yup, you are right - Yahoo and Bing are cool after Google. May be Safari also...but im not sure aout this one.

Obviously, Yahoo is the second search engine which can provide more traffic. But yahoo optimization is little bit different from Google.

Yahoo it is. I also agree that they have different optimization from google. You may try safari as well since its the default browser in Apple products. Just a thought.
