Quick reality check and a focused troubleshooting path (modernized)

This thread correctly points at backlinks and sitemaps, but a few things changed since 2010 and the immediate problem is usually technical, not magical. Yahoo’s organic results are served from Bing’s index, so Bing behaviour will generally explain what Yahoo shows. (searchengineland.com)

A short diagnostic checklist to run now (don’t skip any step)

  • Confirm the URL is reachable and returns a steady 200 (not a redirect chain, 4xx or 5xx).
  • Check for indexing directives: HTML meta robots and server X-Robots-Tag can stop indexing even when pages are reachable. Also confirm canonicals aren’t pointing elsewhere. Use Search Console / Bing tools or view source to verify. (developers.google.com)
  • Verify the page is not isolated: pages with zero internal links or only JS-rendered content can be “discovered” but never prioritized for indexing. Use the Bing tools to run a site scan and the index/coverage reports to see why URLs are excluded. (blogs.bing.com)

How to speed discovery on Bing/Yahoo today (options not discussed above)

  • Enable IndexNow so participating engines are notified immediately when URLs change. It does not force indexing, but it gets crawlers there faster. (indexnow.org)
  • For bulk or forced resubmissions, Bing offers a URL submission API/batch endpoints so verified owners can push lists programmatically. Use that from a verified Webmaster Tools account rather than third‑party “indexing services.” (bing.com)

Quick hands-on checks (replace example.com with your URL)

# check headers as a crawler
curl -I -A "bingbot/2.0" https://example.com/path

# fetch HTML and inspect <meta name="robots"> or rel="canonical"
curl -L -A "bingbot/2.0" https://example.com/path | sed -n '1,120p'

Practical order of work

  1. Run the checklist and fix any noindex/canonical/HTTP issues.
  2. Enable IndexNow / use Bing’s tools to submit important URLs.
  3. Improve internal linking and unique, substantive content so crawlers and algorithms assign crawl priority.

Notes: Indexing is decided by the engine — no method guarantees automatic inclusion. The steps above reduce common technical causes and speed discovery on Bing/Yahoo. This complements ’s and ’s suggestions while adding up‑to‑date tools and diagnostic actions. (searchengineland.com)

I assume you mean bing and not ping. If only one page is indexed, it is because the search engine dosen't think your site is worthy enough of having more than that indexed. Increase your number of backlinks (have other sites on the web link to you) and provide useful, fresh, interesting content daily.

Hi,

Right, Bing would need a special instruction like this Sitemap: http://www.xxxxxx.com/sitemapindex.xml in your robots.txt Also, sitemap submission would not guarantee all pages indexed. You need to build back links for your pages, especially for niche relative authority sources.

Articles, directories and relevant blog comments seem to work pretty good in yahoo.

Try to submit your site in various sb sites and ping it also after you made post.

submitting ur website to high pr and well-reputed sites on the web will benefit u... other than that get back links from some niche directories and sites would be an incentive..

try to post article to some quality article sites like ezine, and bookmark ur pages at good sbm sites like digg, delicious, reddit, stumbleupon and more alike...

doing all these and some hard work will definitely benefit both u and ur site ranking in search engines.

Try the following steps. It might help you

1. Visit Bing.com
2. Enter "site:"
3. If is not indexed, submit your URL to Bing by clicking the link at the bottom of the result page.
4. Wait for a few days (3-5 days) and check back. Your site should have been indexed.
