Hi Everybody.
Recently, i was trying to execute FLASH editor, but as i clicked on executable application file to install it, it shows an error that "FLASH VIDEO EXTENSION.DLL file is missing".
I downloaded this file from SNIP but it didn't work and commenting about version.
So, if anybody knows about this, simply make a reply to this thread.

Quick summary for : a missing "FLASH VIDEO EXTENSION.DLL" usually means the program expects a component that ships with a specific Adobe product (for example, AcroTranscoder/Presenter), not a generic Windows system DLL. security researchers have also seen that exact filename abused in DLL side‑loading attacks, so a missing/incorrect copy can indicate either a broken install or a tampered/malicious file. ESET / WeLiveSecurity analysis. (welivesecurity.com)

Do not patch this by downloading a single DLL from random “DLL download” sites (as ’s links suggest). Those sites frequently serve outdated, incompatible, or infected files; community guidance warns against this practice and Adobe itself advises against unauthorized Flash/Flash-related downloads. Prefer repairing or reinstalling from the original vendor/installer. Why not to download DLLs (Lifewire). Adobe Flash EOL / download guidance. (lifewire.com)

Practical steps that work reliably:

  • Uninstall any partial or suspicious install of the Flash/Presenter product, then reinstall or run the official “Repair” from the vendor installer or Adobe/creator support.
  • Run a full antivirus/anti‑malware scan on the system and any files you downloaded.
  • If Windows system files may be damaged, run DISM then SFC from an elevated command prompt:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
sfc /scannow

Microsoft documents using DISM + SFC for repairing missing/corrupted files and explains DLL preloading/side‑loading risks (useful context if you see unexpected DLL locations). (support.microsoft.com)

Extra notes: if a DLL was downloaded from a third‑party site, delete it immediately and scan the PC. For legacy apps that must run, obtain installers from the original vendor or run the software isolated (VM/sandbox). If reinstall/repair doesn’t solve it, contact the software vendor for the exact package—they can provide the correct, signed files. Adobe’s EOL warning about unauthorized Flash downloads.
