Good troubleshooting from and nice follow-up from . A solid green cast is usually an electrical issue on the video link: when one or two RGB channels are lost or shorted the remaining channel dominates the image. That behavior is typical of analog connectors (VGA/D-sub) when a pin is bent, broken, or not making good contact.
Practical, safe checks to do next time:
Prevention: use cables with thumbscrews or secure connectors, avoid strain on the plug, and consider digital connections where possible. For background on the connector and color channels see VGA connector and RGB color model.
