Hi, I am in the market for some more ram. I found out that my P.C. runs DDR pc3200 and DDR pc 2700. Now at the moment I have 512mb DDR pc2700 of ram on my computer. First off which ram would be better to have pc2700 or pc3200. Now if pc3200 is the best will that interfere with the 512mb ddr pc2700 already installed. Also I have seen SDRAM and DDR can someone tell me if they both work on my computer or if one is better than the other. Thanks in advance!

My computer:
# Maximum Memory Capacity: 2048MB
# Currently Installed Memory: 512MB
# Available Memory Slots: 1
# Number of Banks: 2
# Dual Channel Support: No
# CPU Manufacturer: GenuineIntel
# CPU Family: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.93GHz Model 3, Stepping 4
# CPU Speed: 2933 MHz

Purchase 2 1GB PC3200 DDR sticks.

If you would be so kind as to use my affil link in my signature you can go to NewEgg off my link and get a great price.

It doesn't matter which speed for your CPU. Either DDR 333 (PC2700) or DDR 400 (PC3200) will work. The DDR 400 will run at DDR 333 speed. You can add a 512MB stick or go with greater memory.

Either Pc2700 or Pc3200 would work. Make sure it is DDR. SDRAM WILL NOT WORK!!!

Get 2 1GB Sticks for best performance.

Thanks alot forumdude!

you're welcome
