Hi All I didn't where to post this problem so if someone can guide me it wont happen again. Now for the problem my cousin's pc got infected we managed to clean the system but now he can't get onto the net, there is no ip address and no subnet mask value in his lan connection. Can anyone guide me step by step to solve this problem please.

You might want to verify from your ISP that your modem is online if you have one. If it is, then are you behind a router? bypass the router if you answered yes.
If you can get online, the problem is with your router.
If you can't then you may have firewall problems. Turn off your firewall, try to connect.
If none of this works you may have a bad NIC.
