I'm using an old motherboard , Gigabyte GA-8I915P-D and using a X550XT on a Pentium 4. Is there a better graphics card I can use or any newer ones?

There are certainly better graphics available for your mobo. A recommendation depends on your budget and the intended usage. For high end gaming I recommend a ATI HD 3870x2 (likely too fast for your rig=you will never see thew speed increase); for mid-range gaming I recommend a ATI HD 3870 or a Nvidia 8800 (G92); but I believe all you need is a single ATI HD 3450, 3470, 3650, or 3670.
