LOL, I'd guess that you have a 15.4" or smaller laptop with no dedicated numpad. I don't know why it would be "B" and "N" as they're a row too low but see if there is a function key (usually a blue "FN" near the ctrl key). Hit it and see if it fixes the problem.

FN usually works in tune with a num lock key in the top row of keys,
sound more like maybe you split something on the keyboard though
