Hi, I am repairing a laptop. It keeps just switching off within a minute or less of switching on. Have tried a new battery and power supply.

Noticed the fan is blowing very warm and after switch off you it's hot enough to fry an egg, the screws are untouchable, I was wondering if maybe the laptop was shutting it's self down due to the heat? The fan is actually running.

Any ideas on how I can fix this.

Sorry if it's a dumb question I am new to this, but very enthralled in it all, so much to learn, it's ace :)

any computer component that hot will never run !
if the cpu got that hot it may never work again and will need to be replaced
