Not sure if this is the right spot for this or not.
I'm trying to figure out how one would go about creating a broadcast quality text crawl and having it run over top of a live digital television signal. The K.I.S.S methodology would be the best; I would like to avoid as much complication as possible, such as manually decoding the video, fooling around with putting the text crawl in it, re-encoding the digital video and outputting it.
What I have in mind is some sort of card or other simple way of feeding both the DTV signal and some text into the device and outputting the video overlaid with the text.
Any ideas? I'm not very familiar with this sort of video manipulation at all.
