I got my iPod Shuffle a couple of days ago. It's 2 gigs. I look at all the youtube videos about how to sync music to my iPod and none of them work. I am using the current version (11.1.3) of itunes. I don't know what is going on! Please help.
Thanks

Short checklist for (and anyone else with an old iPod Shuffle): common causes are the cable/USB port, the Shuffle needing a forced restart, iTunes vs Finder confusion on newer Macs, or trying to copy DRM‑protected Apple Music tracks. Try the steps below in order — each one fixes the majority of “it won’t sync” reports.
Charge and force‑restart the Shuffle: unplug it, slide the power switch off, wait ~10 seconds, then turn it back on.
Use a known good data-capable USB cable (no hubs), try different USB ports or another computer. If the Mac/PC never sees the device it won’t sync. (support.apple.com)
On the computer: open iTunes (or Finder on macOS Catalina and later) and look for the device icon/sidebar entry. In iTunes select the Shuffle, go to Music, choose “Sync music” or enable “Manually manage music” and drag songs or playlists onto the device, then click Apply. If you’re on a newer Mac, use Finder instead of iTunes. (support.apple.com)
Check file compatibility and DRM: iPod Shuffle plays standard MP3/AAC/ALAC/WAV/Audible formats but cannot play Apple Music subscription tracks (they’re DRM‑protected). Use non‑DRM files or purchased downloads. (discussions.apple.com)
If iTunes cannot restore or the Shuffle still isn’t recognized, run Apple’s iPod Reset Utility (Mac or Windows) — it reinstalls Shuffle firmware but erases all music, so make sure your library is backed up first. If reinstalling iTunes or trying another computer doesn’t help, the device may need service. (support.apple.com)
These steps resolve most Shuffle sync problems; if a particular step produced an error message, add that exact message when searching or posting (it narrows the fix).
Never mind, question closed!
Wait no it's still not working, please help me!
