My emachine has been getting slower and slower. I thought it had to be the hard drive, so I bought a 400 gig, 16 meg Seagate. Did not help.
When I double click to autofill, it might take 8 seconds. Pages take forever to load, and the machine restarts itsself while I am working.
This is an emachine W3052, 3000+ sempron. I just replaced the hard drive and reloaded xp from the rebuild discs. I am wondering if I need new motherboard and processor, or what. I sure would like your help! Thanks!

How much RAM do you have?
As fren said, you may have a faulty stick, or you may not have enough.
