combining two processors of different types

Can one combine two different processors like pentium 2 processor and pentium 3 processor of different speeds in a given motherboard as a way of upgrading it?

Nope dude...technically not possible,imagine there are gigs of data transfer inside a CPU how do u expect that will sync up with a cable connectivity that too internal cofig is dissimilar,however you can try Windows server OS with 2 computer connected together with a Null modem cable or cat5 cable.one as a server another as client(i bet it will not work as good as master slave concept internally).and also get ready for some really slow and bad responses from your CPU.
