I decided to replace my motherboard in my old vaio pcg k45 but after taking out every screw it still wont open,,,,,,,,,,,any help would be great.

usually need something like a guitar pick to insert into the small crack around the laptop ,to seperate the two parts of the case

haha, a guitar pick lol...what you need to do man is find a very slim flat head screw driver, and pop the "hood" up it's the piece that has the speakers under it. there are two notches if you push down the "ESC" and the "DEL" keys...can't miss them. Cheers oh, just gently lift under each side and there's the rest of the mystery. lol good luck getting it back together.
