All:

I seem to have been hijacked and can't get rid of it! I have downloaded adaware, hijackthis, CWShredder and Spybot and run them all as indicated (with internet connection unplugged) in the other postings. I have also checked the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows section of my registry and only found 0000 in the binary reveal - but each time I do a clean-up, something re-infects my IE startup with 'about:blank'. VERY FRUSTRATING.

Attached is the latest HIJACK this log - Could someone please help!!!!
RUnning WIndows XP Home edition

Download dllfix from the following link.
http://tools.zerosrealm.com/dllfix.exe

Create a folder on your desktop, doubleclick on the dllfix and install it into the folder you just created.
1.Run start.bat and press option 1. 'output.txt' will be created in the folder.
Post the results of that log here.

Run start.bat again & choose option 2 then select 1.Enter the following:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\LOGDOGO.DLL<<<< & reboot. It will scan again on reboot. When done reboot again.

Then do the same for this file: C:\WINDOWS\System32\LMEB.DLL<<<<

Run Adaware after updating it.

Unzip HJT into it's own permanent folder before doing anything in order for it to create backups. (Not a temporary folder or directly on the desktop & not directly on your hard drive). Close all (browser) windows & rescan with hijackthis. When the scan is finished place a check in the box to the left of the following entries & click 'fix checked' :

Post the results of that log here.
Post another HJT log too plz.

Will not be able to get back until tomorrow now. My bed is calling my name :)

Crunchie:

DId all as inistructed - needed to run Adaware 3 times before getting a clean bill of health. Also - should I post the resutls of the Second.bat to the aol account as requested (from dllfix)? No problem - have them as well.

In any event - following are the start.bat log and the hijackthis log. My turn - gotta turn in for the night but will log in so we'll have some time before your bed calls to you again!

Thanks for ALL of your help - it really is appreciated.

Hi. I see that there is still a dll in the start.bat log, but the main hijacker has been removed. Lets give it a couple of days to see if anything develops with it. It could be a read error as it says.

In the meantime, if you do not want this one, fix it with HJT then delete the folder.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Remndr] "C:\Program Files\CasinoOnline\CsRemnd.exe"

Everything else seems fine. Are you still getting hijacked??

Crunchie:

I imagine that at this point you are back in your warm comfortable bed - but wanted to thank you. I can't tell you how happy I was when I logged on this morning and did not get 'about:blank' or a pop-up telling me that I had spyware on my pc (no sh*t, sherlock!) Will wait a day or two, though, to see how it goes.

Regarding the CasinoOnline - not sure where that one came from - I noticed it the other day and have also had a dickens of a time trying to erase it (there is a file in the subdirectory that just doesn't want to be deleted), but will try the HJT to see what I can do about it. Will send more if it continues to be an issue.

Thanks again!:cheesy:

Not quite in bed yet, but it's creeping up on me slowly :) . Once you fix that line with HJT you may have to be in safe mode to delete the folder.
No problems regarding the help. Happy to. Now.......if I could just figure out how to do this at work......

FIXED - FIXED - FIXED
Crunchie - thanks so much.

Needed to run HJT on the CasonoOnline and then rebot, but then it deleted no problem - Everything is back in working order

Thanks again!!!!!!!

No problems :) . Happy to help.
Marking this as solved. Anyone else with similar problems, please start your own thread. Thank you.
