Hey there. I'm new to this, I've got a nice clean, formatted hard disk (NFTS), no operating system, four Fedora Core 4 install disks, and no clue what I'm doing. Please help me. I just wanted a change from Windows, but this is proving to be quite difficult. I can't seem to boot from install disk 1, and I've never used Linux (or dared to leave Windows) before.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

If you can't boot from disc 1, what errors do you get? How did you burn these discs?
It's possible that you burned the ISO to disc, rather than burning the contents of the ISO to disc. Let us know what you did, and we'll help accordingly.
