hi i have recently installed Ubuntu 13.10 in virtualbox windows 7 ultimate 32 bit,
in terminal I tried to enable 3d accelration but it was not successful,
and when the virtual box restarted there I cant able to find side bar(quick lauch bar)
I tried in many ways to recover it but the problem remains
what went wrong
give me tips to fix it.

Had this problem too once. This helped me, but it was a few Ubuntu versions ago.
Press Alt F2
Type this:
gnome-terminal
When Terminal opens, type the following, and please note that there is a space after the word 'unity':
unity --reset
