I am trying to download Silverlight on my mac. The instructions say to open the file but the only option is to save it. Also it says its a Binary file but is supposed to be a DMG file....please help! Thanks!

Ok, reread the file and you did say the only option you got was to save the file.

Is it telling you the file is a binary file before you save it or after you save it to your computer?

Save the file first and then open it, that will allow the file to completely download and the computer to recognize the file type it is.

I have attached a screenshot of the window I get when choosing to download the file. It gives me the option of opening with a specific program or saving the file to my desktop.

While I am not sure how you are opening it - I would recommend downloading the file and then trying again.
