I have a Rapsody N35 home media center with a 250 gig hd installed. Because of rapsody does not support Mac I have had to format the drive FAT32. Any way to defrag a FAT32 drive with OS X?

Mac PPC G5 2.3X2
OS X 10.4.8

Thanks

Sorry, I've searched around and I although there have been questions like these, I don't think such a utility exists. If you had Windows on there, you could've used its Disk Defragmenter to do the job, but now the best way to do it is to backup all the data, do a complete reformat, and then put the data back on the drive. And that will certainly do it better than any defrag job.

Hope this helps

Thanks much for the reply, The drive is only about 3 weeks old. Problem is I wright 8 to 10 2 gig files a week, while deleting the same amount. Guess if it gets screw-e I'll reformat.

Thanks again
