For : those repeating ad pages are most often caused by adware, a malicious browser extension, or an unwanted startup/task that opens advertising pages — not just a simple site setting. rightly focused on the browser, and the short tips from and are a good start, but persistent popups usually require targeted cleanup: on-demand scanners, removal of unwanted programs/extensions, and disabling bad autorun entries.

Start here (in order):

  1. Back up important files before making system changes.
  2. Run a dedicated adware cleaner such as AdwCleaner and then a full scan with Malwarebytes. Quarantine anything found and reboot.
  3. Uninstall any unfamiliar programs from Programs and Features (or Add/Remove Programs).
  4. Use Autoruns to inspect and disable suspicious startup items and scheduled tasks (uncheck first to test).
  5. Remove unknown browser extensions and, if needed, create a fresh browser profile or reset the browser to defaults.
  6. Check the hosts file at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and verify proxy settings (Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN settings) for unauthorized redirects.
  7. If infections persist, run the or a rescue USB and consider professional removal.

Prevent recurrence: avoid clicking random ads, do not install bundled toolbars, keep Windows and browsers updated, and use an ad-blocker like uBlock Origin. If the problem keeps returning after these steps, a clean OS reinstall or professional cleanup is the reliable final option.
