i backup my whole harddisk using nero backitup in a difrent hard disk, it split the data in tho few files with the extension .dat
now i cant restore it, i creat the boot cd but at bios it say "backitup program is not available" is there a program that can open the .dat files so i can manualy restore the data. thanks

It seems that you used the wrong format-to restore an active drive or partition you need the Nero Image tool.
My best guess is that you can use this backup by reinstalling Windows, then Nero, and use the restore feature.
