I got my friends laptop which is running Windows XP Home (Edition) not very good specs but that ain't what I'm here to talk about...
When you boot up the laptop, it boots up normally no boot errors whatsoever though the problem starts as soon as you see the Windows XP screen, it just hangs and doesn't do anything although you do see some Hard Drive activity going on and after say 3-5 seconds the laptop beeps. This is without touching any buttons whatsoever.
I've tried accessing Safe Mode and no luck, it just does the same the real thing that's baffled me is I got the XP CD and the laptop won't detect it at boot even though I've made the BIOS check the cd drive first then HDD 2nd.
If someone has either experienced this issue before and has fixed it, then I would appreciate if you could give me some pointers on your way of resolving this, or any help will be appreciated a lot :)
