Hi,

I'm using office XP (10) under windows 98 se.

I wonder whether I can delet the office search service directory (a picture attached)

The reson I like to do that is, that' it is waste os disc spave and I don't know, what is is really needed for.

I think I've disabled it's automatic action via disable the "MOsearch". because it uses to muck of my machine resources.

Thanks for any advice.

The only way it would be possible I would imagine, is if you install the office xp disk, choose a custom install, look for the search service and specify not available. Carry on with the install.

I think that is what I'm going to do, meanwhile i'm still wondering whether I can delet this folder
