my wife's just tried to log onto her computer (windows vista)...
and it said:
"the user profile service failed the logon, user profile cannot be loaded."

any ideas??

yes, the password is correct.
there's alot of important documents on there... i know i can probably retrieve the documents from the c:\ prompt, but i dont want to have to re-do her whole computer... she's got over 100gig of info...

i've tried loging onto the 'guest' account, but of course... it doesn't have any admin capabilities... so i can't do anything from there.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!

thank you

it wasn't deleted or moved. her account is still there, we just can't access it. even her password works on a select few admin applications, but not all of them.
it seems as though the account profile manager has gone corrupt or something.
i have even took a back door to remove all the passwords...
but if you click on her profile, it says it can't access it... it's very strange...
i think she probably got a virus or something...
im just gonna back her files up, and clean it out... maybe install XP pro instead...

thanks
