My compaq presario S3500CL desktop won't start. When press the power button, It just attempt to start then nothing happened. Its not even booting or try to start up. Is there anybody who has an idea how to solve this problem?

Start with RAM. Power off, pull the plug, open the case, ground your hands to the case [grab hold of the chassis], then identify your RAM sticks. If you have multiple, remove one.. try to restart. No go? Swap sticks. Goes? Bingo.
Power supply.... well, BIOS won't be telling you voltages if BIOS is not running. Either swap out the ps, or get it tested.

Hi Crystalizeheart,
You could try to unplug your power cord, remove the battery and HDD. Put all back and try again. Sometimes it's enough to remove the battery (and power cord).

when you press the power button do you hear any fans spinning...or any beeps...if not its probably the power supply has died
